    Visiting the 30 A

Ever since I saw the Coastal Living Designer Show house in Rosemary Beach Florida, I slated it for a "set to jet" destination if the opportunity arose. Rosemary Beach is an Interior Design ...

The sand along the 30A Beaches are soft and oyster white. They are not powdery like the Caribbean, but still very soft and sugary and impeccably clean. The water is normally pale green to deep emerald, but we were there after hard rains, and the water wasn t as green as our week of visiting. You can see more photos of the true color of the water in my Instagram feed. There are also 4 beautiful pools in the area, assigned to their respective VRBO so you have to do a little homework there. The Seacrest Beach pool is NOT heated, fyi. So with our week s cooler weather, it was too cccccold (for me).

The pattern of this fabric is enormous. So making pillows with 22 inch inserts was the smallest dimension I could go without really chopping up the design.

I played around with some various templates to add to the cabinet door front. I think this one is too busy.

The bones are there, and now we are starting to plan new seating, but first we need a new light fixture. The current fixture only has three lights of 5 working. It was originally gold and I had refinished it black and added some crystal cut teardrops to distract from its ugliness. It has gotten me by a few years, until the thing sparked last week which prompted me to get shopping.

    Fav dream sport.

Is it fair to say yachting is a sport if one is just sitting? I guess if I were driving it, it would be called it boating? Regardless, I would do either in Velcro rollers and snake-skins any day.

This is Eden s room before. I drew and painted the tree freehand-it s still present but I plan to simplify the room and paint over it. The wall color, and the rug will stay! I love this rug, it a wool Dwell Studio rug in pear green stripes.

As a continuation to my previous post...I am posting pictures of the destination that served at my design starting point. I wanted my Living room to be a little slice of Brittany, France. Here is where it all started.

Introducing a new member of the Living Room - I ll call her Genevieve.

This little beauty was sitting alone in the back of a truck at my upholster s studio, and I asked where was she going ? She ended up coming home with me!

The lines on this chair are classic and unique at the same time. It has just enough wood and nailhead detail on the arm to make it interesting, but to me doesn t evoke too much stuffiness.
Most importantly, it fits comfortably snug to the left of my fireplace.

I can t wait until she s finished! Stay tuned.

In a few weeks we ll have Gen out of that orange tattered tweed. (She looks like she s been clubbing all night in a cheap knock-off chanel suit).

In this view you see that I have circled blind spots which pose access problems. I have to move the stool to get access e very time. I can only gain access from the backside of the pennisula with this design. Solution: Easy access corner cabinet. Also, who wants to see half of a wall as wood cabinets as one enters the room? Not me, coming soon...a real wall.
