Here are current pictures of my living room. It's still in transition..are designers ever done?
For one, the ottomans which hide books and toys will be recovered eventually. This print is okay for now, but it's a little too jeuvenile for the room. I have a Peter Dunham fabric in a blockprint paisley in brown on linen tint that I have in mind for these. I bought these ottomans at Homegoods for $50.00 a piece. They are on hinges and have a safety latch so they can't fall on little one's head or fingers. Safety latches are easy to switch out - just go to your local home improvement store to find a suitable version. Ottoman's like these are easy to recover and are a great way to stash toys quickly as well as give easy access to kids. We don't have basements here- so these are essential! They also are a convenient way to add seating by the fire or around the other side of the coffee table for game time or lego building contests. There's another toy storage piece int the room, can you find it?
