The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.
She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new.
When I was a little girl, I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. “A mom” I said. Never did I reply, “a Doctor”, or “a Teacher” (maybe a singer once or twice). I always looked forward to being a mom.
Then, I became a mom. I had no idea how patient I could be, how tired I could get, how protective I was and my capacity to love. It’s a wonderful club – The Mom Club. An ever-evolving learning club. For those of you in it, you know exactly what I mean. You will never learn more about yourself than through those little ones in your life.
Tristan and Eden, you fill my days with so much fun~you are my dreams come true. You instantly help me embrace my flaws because they simply don't matter to you and I thank you for that. I love you both soooo much. And for those of you trying to become a mom, don’t give up. It’s worth the wait. And for those of you who just became a mom, welcome to the club.
P.S. Thanks, Mom. Happy Mother’s Day. And thanks to hubby for supporting me as Mom.
Happy Mother’s Day! Yippee spoil yourself rotten!
