If your walls are bare and you are on a budget, and aren't the creative type to make your own, getting aquainted with the name Ekayel may be in order. Eskayel represents a Brooklyn based design stuido that hand paints their designs and applies them to a number of different mediums (wallpaper, scarves, fabric, and wall hangings).
I recently discovered this design group via the Fab Duo Cloth & Kind (via Pinterest, isn't everything "VP" these days?) and was in awe of their work. Just check out some of my favorites here.
While looking at all of these amazing patterns (and comparing to my non-existing budget), I got an idea for some great art for walls. I got really excited when I learned they sell large samples of their wallpaper- 24 x 24 and some patterns are bigger yet, for $50.00. So I thought, put that in a RIBBA IKEA gallery frame or a natural maple frame and watch a room get some instant "cool" factor on a very limited budget! I am also considering papering the interior of my glass kitchen cabinets.
Check Eskayel out here, be prepared to drool over these amazing designs...what's your favorite?
Send me a photo of your project if you decide to give it a go...would love to see it.
