When my friend Cathy (Food Blogger extraordinaire, Winemaker and Proprietor of Noble Pig Vineyards) asked me to help her transform her new tasting room in Cartlon to better represent her brand, I was completely excited..visions of piggies danced in my head. My kitchen remodel had barely concluded and I was quickly prepping to get her up and running by mid January. No problem. (Gulp).
Cathy blows my mind, she is one of the most intelligent and hard-working women I know. (And crazy fun). It was a pleasure to work on this side by side.
Her story is best descriped on her site; she doesn’t disappoint, she is an entertaining writer. Over the last 5 weeks, I have had the pleasure of transforming this drab pig pen to suit, well, a Noble Pig.
This tasting room came from the slops of mud-vile and has now been crowned the Queen of Carlton (if I do say so myself). Enjoy the “before’s” so you can savor the “afters”. Thanks again Cathy for calling on me to design your tasting room, I wish you continued success.

A special thanks to Ron Larson of Ron and Rhon Construction and Randy Wall of Randy Wall Construction for all of your hard work.
Ta dah! The big reveal ! New and improved! But let's revisit the before photos so you know where we started from.

This old cabinetry was found in the back so I asked Ron to rebuild it to match the other and give us more storage.
Bathroom, mid transformation. Look at the blue laminate...gross, gross, gross.
This picture was taken after I cleaned this floor three times. Ick-this had to go.
This light had to go too. Immediately.
Here I am working in the bathroom. Design work is not glamorous, people. Sadie and I were tuckered here. I understand that Sadie has been featured in many NP blog photos. She hates to be alone. She sat in the bathroom with me the entire time I was there. I hear she runs to the bathroom when she visits thinking I am there. I love that dog!
Just look at this face!
This was my view while installing the floor. Yes, I installed the floor. Her tail kept flapping in my face. Don't get too excited, the floor was peel and stick, but looks fabulous (did you see the before?) and affordable.
Noble Pig Food Blog take-aways
Custom reclaimed wood display for Noble Pig Mugs by Deneen Pottery (St. Paul-my hometown thank you). I went to school with Kelly Deneen, I wonder if you are related. If so, what a small world.
A little sparkle for the Powder Room. Cathy and I love this little room so much we found ourselves having all of our meetings there. Visit, you'll see why.
Custom reclaimed wood vanity shelf.
Fit for Audrey herself.
The Noble part of Noble Pig.
This is a close up of a pig I gave to Cathy 2 years ago. I can't help but to pick up a pig where I run into one. Isn't that annoying? We named her Clarice. We named her this for some reason and about a year later realized it's the name of Rudolph's girlfriend. She was bit noble, so it's all makes sense now.
Swine love. Thanks Cathy and Henry and the boys. Mmmmoi!
