What a beautiful day for a Spring Fling Polka Dot birthday party! We had so much fun with these wonderful kids.
I don't think anyone had more fun than the Birthday Girl with her besties all at the same table. Squeals, "woo hoo's", and giggles were heard throughout the day.
We hope these photos inspire you for your next Birthday Party.

The cake. I ordered two basic white frosted cakes (8 inch and 4 inch stacked) from Roth's grocery Store, and added dots rolled and cut (simple round cookie cutter) out of pink fondant. Added some embellishment , some handmade, and some from scrapbook stickers.
Take home gift: chocolate birds nests with jelly eggs. Hand made tags.
Homemade edible birds nests!
Melt one bag of chocolate chips in a saucepan on low (to medium), add a little milk to thin out (add in tablespoon increments and stir until you get a consistency to "coat and stick" but not see through to the chow mein noodle) , stir every minute or so. Toss in one half bag of chow mein noodles and fold and fold gently (while on the stove) until all noodles are covered. Use your best judgement, add more noodles if you can get by with more. Remove from stove, place a handful mound on wax paper, and start getting messy-form a "nest" with your hands (OR use those little colored plastic IKEA bowls-perfect size for this project, and you get a nice deep bowl. Let cool for a few hours. When the tops appear dry and hardened, flip them over to let the bottoms dry out. DO NOT REFRIGERATE. When dry and hardened, add either peeps birds, or colored jelly eggs (or Cadbury malted milk eggs) as the center eggs.
